From a Job Function to Mindset
Up until now, we have focused the majority of our communications strategy speaking to specific job functions within organizations. This has proven successful, especially in the short-term, helping engineers remediate and patch vulnerabilities, guiding system architects with never-ending-support of EOL software, and quickly providing solutions to help companies remain in compliance when audited.
The challenge we face as we grow and start to broaden the type of companies we work with and hope to work with, is that each company is structured in a different way. Title-based persona break down depending on the size of an organization, the type of product or service they provide, and the type of industry they operate in (regulated vs unregulated).
We are recommending a strategic shift from speaking to the JOB FUNCTION to anchoring each persona to a MINDSET.
